Must Haves

  • Basic knowledge of system design and installation (24/7 live on-air environments)
  • Basic knowledge of storage systems and virtual environments
  • Available to work overtime, occasionally weeknights and/or weekends, and potentially supervise high production risk activities
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Experience with AutoCAD preferred
  • Ability to read construction documents would be helpful
  • Fluent in Project Manager applications such as Smartsheet, Asana, JIRA, and Zendesk
  • Ability to work well with others and display a supportive attitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of core systems like router, multi-viewer, reference, production switchers, etc.

Day to Day

The role of the Project Engineer is to assist the engineering team with the implementation of broadcast and other systems that are built, operated, and maintained by our client's engineering teams. This includes researching solutions, coordinating meetings, and arranging access to job sites for the integration. The Project Coordinator also plays a substantial role in the project-related logistics process, including requesting quotes, tracking deliveries, and managing equipment for the individual job sites.


Essential Duties

The Project Engineer will assist the engineering team with handling organizational tasks including arranging vendor access, booking conference rooms, providing meeting summaries, and sending follow-ups to vendors and clients when required.

The Project Engineer will also help to schedule project-related events including meetings with clients and vendors, possible work windows for live systems, and appointments with vendors if onsite visits for commissioning and configuration services are required.


Other Responsibilities

  • Take notes and provide summaries for conceptual and design review meetings with clients
  • Gather existing documentation/information from clients or the Vault archive in the initial phase of a project
  • Work directly with vendors to obtain information and documentation for proposed equipment
  • Monitor equipment purchases, track deliveries, and coordinate equipment/material supply for job sites
  • Monitor progress of the project implementation and estimate completion date of projects
  • Keep all stakeholders updated on project status and progress
  • Work with the CAD team to update and finalize system documentation (As-Builts) at the end of every project as well as document legacy infrastructure
  • Conduct in-field research with 3rd party vendors and the Integration team to develop project plans
  • Coordinate work windows with production representatives, security, campus coordinators, and clients during project execution phases
  • Work with the utilities team during construction efforts to mitigate risks for any existing fiber infrastructure and notify clients of potential impacts
  • Assist with lot-wide fiber patching & CATV insertion requests

Compensation:

$35/hr to $45/hr.


Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
