Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to support the management and execution of projects throughout the full project life cycle from initiation to closeout. The projects will include a diverse mix of capital and expense projects on Process, Utilities, and Automation/IT (AIT) systems. The successful candidate will have frequent exposure to senior management as they execute projects that shape overall strategy and transform the site into a best-in-class Biopharmaceutical facility.
Responsibilities
- Project engineering of the Works.
- Delivery of a portfolio of small to medium-sized projects, ensuring governance to current engineering standards and compliance with CDM regulations.
- Strict GMP compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordination with the Principal Contractor and project team members to ensure completion on schedule.
- Oversee completion snags and construction defects.
- Manage installation, commissioning, and qualification activities in liaison with vendors and validation teams.
- Weekly project progress reporting to the Portfolio Manager and Alliance Manager.
Deliverables
- Manage project scope.
- Coordinate key contractors and work elements.
- Manage stakeholder expectations.
- Monitor project budget and provide monthly reports.
- Attend daily update meetings.
- Ensure compliance with HSE & CDM requirements and GMP standards.
- Develop and update project schedules.
- Identify and monitor project risks.
- Resource planning and communication of resource needs.
- Other duties relevant to the role of project engineer.
Qualifications
- Degree in a relevant science/engineering discipline.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex manufacturing projects in a GMP environment.
- Full project lifecycle experience from design to C&Q and handover.
- Knowledge of project management processes.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proven track record of on-time delivery and right-first-time documentation.
- Ability to develop operating procedures and maintenance plans.
- Strong understanding of GMP principles.
- Experience with SAP and budgeting tools.
