Position Summary:

As Project Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with the Project Manager (your supervisor), on-site Superintendent, Owner, and Design Professionals to deliver a project on-time, on-budget, and exceeding client's expectations of service and quality. Your position will be based primarily in the Eugene office but will include travel to project sites and the flexibility to work remotely as appropriate. You will lead the management of project document flow, serving as a technical interpreter of contract documents.

What You'll Do:
  • Drive construction team success of commercial construction projects, working under the supervision of a Project Manager.
  • Oversee daily administration of prime contracts, trade contracts, and purchase orders, collaborating with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and owners.
  • Lead orderly and efficient project document control (e.g. submittals, RFI's, pay applications)
  • Manage project costs and change functions on a project including change orders, back-charges
  • Create and update critical path schedules
  • Assist with creation of Invitation to Bid (ITB), project manuals and work scoping.
  • Assist with contract draft scoping, project accounting, budget control, accounting.
  • Assist field staff with coordination of supply of materials, equipment, and labor.
  • Assist field staff to ensure quality control measures are established and maintained.
  • Assist field staff with all safety requirements
  • Assist operations staff with estimating and buy-out
  • Utilize industry specific software, including ProCore, Primavera P6, MS Office Suite

What You'll Bring:
  • BS. in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Architecture
  • 5+ years prior experience is desired
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment

Essential Functions:
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, climb stairs, climb ladder
  • Hands/Arms: Constant use of hands/fingers for mouse/keyboard/computer use
  • Vision: Visual acuity in near, mid and far range vision. Color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand/eye coordination
  • Hearing: Sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone and computer; sufficient to hear alarms on equipment
  • Speech: Sufficient to make oneself heard in person, speak in front of groups, and be understood over the telephone and radio
  • Lift/Carry: Up to 50lb
