We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Engineer to join our team in the Construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who is passionate about driving construction projects to their successful completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing industrial and commercial projects and be adept at using AutoCAD Design. The candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and managing onsite construction engineering activities. The role demands a high level of dedication, innovation, and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute project design, ensuring it aligns with the project's scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Lead and manage the planning, development, coordination, and implementation of onsite construction engineering activities.
  • Review, interpret, and accurately read blueprints to ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Design to create and modify project designs.
  • Manage change orders, ensuring that all changes are appropriately documented, communicated, and implemented.
  • Collaborate with project management teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Provide technical advice to the project team and stakeholders, ensuring all engineering aspects are considered.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction engineering, particularly in industrial and commercial projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Design and other relevant software.
  • Exceptional knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
  • Proven experience managing change orders in a construction setting.
  • Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
  • A professional engineering (PE) license is preferred.
