Landmark Construction Company Inc., an industry leader in construction solutions for over 60 years and counting, is seeking a team-oriented Project Engineer. As a Project Engineer you will support the project management team as needed to ensure successful execution of projects with various clients and subcontractors. The Project Engineer should have a strong desire to learn from the Project Manager and be able to successfully execute the following specific subtasks of project management.
Job Summary
The Project Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Planning
Assist in project planning, scheduling, and coordination of work activities.
Review project specifications, drawings, and contracts to ensure compliance.
Support pre-construction activities, including permitting and procurement.
Technical Support & Documentation
Maintain and update project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily reports.
Track and manage material submittals and approvals.
Work with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and quality control.
Field Support & Quality Control
Assist in overseeing site activities to ensure work meets project specifications and safety regulations.
Conduct site visits to track progress and resolve technical issues.
Support project inspections and quality control measures.
Communication & Reporting
Collaborate with the Project Manager, Superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow.
Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
Provide regular updates on project status, budget tracking, and potential risks.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
0-3 years of construction experience, preferably in a project engineering or coordination role.
Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar).
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Work Environment
Primarily office-based with frequent site visits.
May require extended hours and travel depending on project needs.
