Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Development Engineer to support revamp capital projects at a chemical manufacturing facility. This role will involve close coordination with onsite teams, focusing on both process design and project execution within a brownfield project environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of project scopes, technical documentation, and design packages.
- Participate in bid processes including Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluations, and contractor selection.
- Assist with long-lead equipment sourcing and coordination during Front End Engineering Design (FEED).
- Coordinate project planning deliverables and cross-functional engagement using a structured capital project management system.
- Lead resolution of project issues and oversee change management processes.
- Act as liaison between project teams, functional groups, and contractors to ensure specifications and standards are met.
- Maintain project schedule alignment and assist with transitions across project phases.
- Provide backup support for the Project Manager as needed.
Qualifications:
- BS or MS degree in Engineering (any discipline).
- Experience across engineering, construction, and project management functions.
- Strong working knowledge of design standards, construction specifications, and project workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams and interface with multiple stakeholders.
- High adaptability to shifting priorities, tight deadlines, and heavy workloads.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
