Project Director - Fire & Security Installations Nationwide (Public Sector)

We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Director to lead the delivery of a major national installation and upgrade programme across multiple high-profile UK sites. With a projected annual turnover of £50 million, this is a significant opportunity to shape and deliver one of the largest rollouts of high-level fire and security systems in the country.


About the Role:

As Project Director, you will take full responsibility for the successful planning, coordination, and execution of this large-scale programme. You'll be managing multiple project teams and subcontractors nationwide, ensuring works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and compliance standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the end-to-end delivery of fire and security installation and upgrade projects across a portfolio of UK-wide sites.
  2. Lead project planning, stakeholder engagement, resource allocation, and risk management activities.
  3. Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, industry standards, and client specifications.
  4. Manage multi-disciplinary teams, including contractors, engineers, and consultants.
  5. Maintain and develop key relationships with public sector stakeholders and senior decision-makers.
  6. Track performance metrics and report to board-level executives on progress and KPIs.

We are looking for the following attributes:
  1. Proven experience in directing large-scale fire and security system installation programmes.
  2. Strong background in working with public sector clients or government contracts (essential).
  3. Deep understanding of Gallagher security systems - installation, configuration, and project-level integration (distinct advantage).
  4. Strong leadership and commercial acumen, with the ability to manage complex budgets and contractual obligations.
  5. Nationwide travel required - flexibility essential.
