Position: Project Associate

Department: Sales

Reports to: Principal

Position Summary:

This dynamic position assists in numerous activities related to the efficient and timely processing of client orders as specified by the sales process. These activities can include framing design, generating design requests, image selections, order entry, vendor ordering, general customer service duties, pricing, and assisting in the design/sales process. This position will have responsibility for preparing proposals at the direction of a Principal, Project Consultants, and self-directed proposals. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage multiple details from multiple sources and overall project management. This position does not require initiating the sales contact.

The general essence of this role is to serve as a liaison between the sales and operations team of the organization and the client. This person should exhibit exceptional written and oral communication skills as well as professional presentation ability. This person must be able to interact and excel in an environment where teamwork is important.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

  1. Sales related: design, order entry, customer service, project management, presentation, proposal creation, and specification.
  2. Operations related: inventory management, vendor ordering, processes design, and implementation.

The candidate will possess or quickly acquire the ability to consult with clients regarding artistic and branding images to display in their commercial environment.

Minimum Requirements:

The ideal candidate has experience in the sales, operations, and production of commercial artwork, custom exhibits, and/or the signage industry. This position requires excellent written and oral communication ability as well as the ability to function at a high level with technology such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Photoshop, and Illustrator. In addition, business software systems relating to business operations.

A degree in Interior Design, Graphic Design, Interior Architecture, or Fine Arts is preferred.

Physical Abilities Required:

The candidate in this position should be able to receive product at the receiving area, move product into the staging area, and lift product onto the production tables, carts, and overhead storage.
