Project Support Assistant - Hybrid Overland Park, KS
6-Month Contract-to-Hire $29.37/hr U.S. Citizenship Required
We're seeking a detail-oriented Project Support Assistant to join a fast-paced, high-performing team supporting major infrastructure and federal projects. This hybrid role is based out of Overland Park, KS and offers the opportunity to work across departments while building processes that support over 400 professionals nationwide.
Responsibilities:
- Manage electronic and physical filing systems, assign project file numbers, and track documentation
- Coordinate badging, floorplan updates, and office security compliance across regional offices
- Plan and coordinate internal events, trainings, and team-building activities
- Track and ship travel laptops for 400+ team members and manage the request process
- Maintain project calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel as needed
- Design internal communications (posters, slide shows) using InDesign/Illustrator or similar tools
- Create and manage Microsoft Forms and workflows for department use
- Assist with expense reporting, invoice tracking, and timesheet coordination
- Provide general administrative support, greet visitors, answer calls, and maintain office supplies
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant administrative, office coordination, or project support experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Comfortable juggling a variety of administrative and logistical tasks
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with electronic file systems and document control processes
- Experience using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, or similar tools
- Background in engineering, architecture, government contracting, or large-scale project support
Security Requirement: U.S. Citizenship required due to project nature
