SCHEDULE: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM in-office, with a remote option on Fridays. On Fridays, employees may work from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM, provided projects are on track for completion, allowing for a 36-hour work week.


WORK LOCATION: Applicants must be able to commute to our Norman, Oklahoma office four days per week and be available for occasional site visits as needed.

Summary

The Project Manager will oversee multiple small to mid-sized architecture projects, from design concept through completion, focusing on government and commercial contracts. This role involves strategic planning, schedule and budget oversight, and coordination of design and engineering teams to ensure efficient, cost-effective execution. The Project Manager acts as the primary liaison with clients, ensuring deliverables align with expectations, regulations, and contractual obligations.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all phases of architectural projects, from conceptional design through construction administration
  • Partner with clients to define and refine design requirements, including the review of conceptual sketches and models
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
  • Develop and manage project budgets and provide fee breakdowns for consultants by project phase
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules presenting in Gantt format using project management software (Autodesk Build)
  • Set up and maintain project documentation, and workflows in project management platform
  • Track project progress and communicate any delays or changes to clients in a timely and transparent manner
  • Provide regular updates to management and collaborate on risk management strategies that maximize opportunities to meet project requirements, and support the company's long-term goals
  • Lead weekly project management meetings with the A/E design team to ensure alignment and address potential issues
  • Oversee consultants and vendors to monitor construction progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure design intent is maintained
  • Coordinate monthly invoices with the accounting department according to the company's standard template by the 20th of each month
  • Ensure timely scheduling of required site visits and accurate documentation of project milestones and changes in scope
  • Monitor KPIs to identify trends and prevent declines in performance metrics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in architecture from regionally accredited university
  • Minimum of 6 years of architectural experience with a focus on project management
  • Licensed Architect (Strongly preferred)
  • Highly proficient with Revit
  • Understanding architectural/construction means and methods; and the ability to fully detail these systems in coordination with structural, mechanical, and civil trades
  • Proficient understanding of Construction Drawing/Detailing of various commercial and institutional building systems of significant size. Healthcare architectural design experience preferred but not required
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively
