The Project Administrator will perform clerical duties on projects, such as tracking and reporting project progress and expenses, as well as coordinate activities related to manufacturing equipment lease and purchase. Work as liaison among project engineers, plant personnel, and equipment suppliers, to track and maintain data, develop reports and provide analysis for management review.

To be successful as a project administrator you must be able to multitask. A good project administrator has excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Log and track proposals and on-going projects progress with project engineers and take minutes.
  • Prepare and update Statement of Activity for project expenses / capital expenditure from AS400 database.
  • Interact with personnel from 20+ JM's manufacturing plants related to project approval process, progress, the opening and closing of projects and related activities.
  • Maintain project document database, design and purchasing references, and project close-out records.
  • Engage with and follow up with vendors and suppliers for the major spare parts and other equipment purchasing activities.
  • Manage replenishment and purchasing of major spare parts for 20+ JM's manufacturing plants with the internal AS400 system
  • Negotiate price, lead time and monitor lease equipment status
  • Process purchasing requisition, payments, and invoices approval with Accounting Department.
  • Resolve issues addressed by Plants and Headquarter Production department on project and/or equipment status, with Engineering team members
  • Work within Headquarter Engineering team for project budgeting, scheduling, and record keeping.
  • Interface with various plant personnel, suppliers, contractors, and other entities to support plant expansion and continuous operation.
  • Travel to supplier facilities and JM plants on an as-required basis.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three (3) years of prior experience as a project administrator, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Prior experience as a manufacturing company is a plus
  • Prior experience with logistics or supply chain database is a plus
