Project Accountant for their team.
Job Description: As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Project budgeting: Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring accurate cost tracking and forecasting.
- Cost management: Monitor and control project costs, including labor, materials, and subcontractor expenses.
- Financial reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including project cost reports, variance analysis, and cash flow projections.
- Invoice processing: Review and process invoices from vendors and subcontractors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of project accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Contract management: Assist in the preparation and management of project contracts, change orders, and purchase orders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure financial alignment and project success.
Qualifications:- Proven experience as a Project Accountant or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
