My client is looking for an experienced Project Accountant to assist with various accounting tasks related to multiple projects. This role involves managing monthly requisitions, liaising with clients and internal teams, and providing analytical support to management. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction accounting and be capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

My client is a well-established construction and telecommunications services firm with extensive experience in a range of industries who specialize in a number of different designs and builds.

Description


  • Prepare and process monthly requisitions and payment applications in line with contractual terms

  • Manage invoices and maintain logs for change orders

  • Organize and maintain detailed billing job files

  • Perform job cost analysis and track profit/loss for assigned projects

  • Generate cash management and forecasting reports for senior management

  • Communicate with clients and internal teams on billing, collections, and other project-related matters

  • Prepare required compliance reports, including payroll, insurance, and tax-related documentation

  • Provide support to project managers and accounting leadership for financial reporting

  • Ensure dependable on-site attendance and contribute as part of the team


Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in construction accounting or related financial management roles

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (formulas, data analysis, and formatting)

  • Familiarity with Viewpoint Vista ERP software preferred

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
