About the Position The Program Manager is responsible for managing the market strategies and bid-to-operations lifecycle for one of the following disciplines - fire and life safety, electrical, mechanical (HVAC, Controls & Automation, BAS), field operations, and energy solutions service offerings, including services supporting ArchKey's national programs for electrical vehicle (EV) chargers, renewable energy platforms, energy conservation programs and other similar support programs. This position oversees the development and implementation of the above service offerings and ensures the growth strategy is comprehensive and consistent with the Company's vision and growth strategy at-large, in alignment with all Company policies, procedures, key objectives, and regulations. This role serves as a critical technical and operational resource within the engineering solutions team supporting the pursuit of new clients and expanding solutions within existing client accounts. This position plays a critical role in bridging technical expertise with business development, ensuring that new solutions align with client needs and the Company's growth strategy. Day in the Life
  • Collaborates with account teams to assess engineering and operational data, identifying opportunities for new client pursuits and expanded solutions within current accounts.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to resolve potential engineering roadblocks early in the client pursuit cycle.
  • Provides technical expertise to support the development of innovative service offerings that align with market demands and client objectives.
  • Offers technical guidance and mentorship to project managers, ensuring solutions align with the strategic vision and client expectations.
  • Serves as a liaison between the engineering team and account team stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project objects.
  • Engages with clients during solution development discussions, helping to translate technical capabilities into tangible business value.
  • Addresses and facilitates timely and effective resolution of technical challenges that arise to maintain service excellence, ensuring proposed solutions are practical and executable.
  • Provides expert advice during equipment submittal reviews, offering detailed comments and recommendations for replacement projects.
  • Acts as primary point of escalation for break-fix issues, coordinating with technical teams to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Partners with various departments, including sales, project management, and technical teams to refine and position service offerings effectively and integrate market insights into operational improvements and innovation, while enhancing technical capabilities.
  • Monitors and stays ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to inform strategic solution development.
  • Manages and supports growth and business sustainment strategies for one of the following disciplines - EV charger program, renewable energy platforms, fire and life safety, electrical, mechanical (HVAC, Controls & Automation, BAS), field operations, and others cradle to grave (e.g., grant writing, funding support, installation, operations, maintenance, and monitoring).
  • Collaborates with business development teams to optimize the go-to-market strategy and supports proposal development (assisting in shaping technical scopes and ensuring feasibility and alignment with industry best practices) and other client-facing materials with the pursuit team and marketing professionals.
  • Facilitates new and expanded business opportunities through prospecting, networking, relationship building, and selling additional services to current client base.
  • Provides coordination of sales activities throughout the sales process including qualifications, discovery, proposals, pricing presentations and negotiations.
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with industry experts through participation in introductory meetings, proposal and capability pitches and contract negotiations.
  • Builds and maintains strategic and effective relationships with program managers, clients and prospective clients, project teams, specialty contractors, vendors, suppliers, user groups and others that reflect and support the Company's core values and meet or exceed the customer's expectations.
  • Provides regular and high-quality technical advice, mentoring, training, and assistance to work team and other co-workers as needed.
  • Consistently make decisions in an attentive and safe manner to ensure the safety and health of self and others.
  • Utilizes LEAN concepts or other continuous improvement methodologies to ensure the most efficient operations, processes, and activities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering, business administration, service management or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience with program/project management and in partnership with marketing and/or sales functions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, etc. Familiarity with business intelligence tools (i.e., SalesForce and PowerBI). Broad experience with other software and financial systems is desired.
  • Excellent proven experience using quantitative skills to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Strong ability to problem-solve both independently and working as a team. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes reliable recommendations.
  • Strong training, skills, and a thorough understanding of program/project management and the project life cycle.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, listening, and persuasion skills. Excellent customer focus, collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Superior mathematical skills and analytical mindset, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to develop strategic solutions, identify process improvements, and implement best practices. Strong ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business strategies, client needs, and RFP documents.
  • Ability to motivate and work collaboratively with senior technical leaders, business leaders, subject matter experts, executive management, and client groups on various projects
  • Excellent independent organizational, prioritizing and time management skills.
  • Superior leadership abilities, including the capacity to mentor and develop team members, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated elevated level of integrity and dependability.
Salary Range
  • $84,500 - 99,800 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
