Programming Manager, Organic Social


REPORTS TO:

Director, Organic Social Media


DESCRIPTION

The Los Angeles Chargers are seeking a deeply online, meme-savvy social media expert to shape the day-to-day voice of our digital presence. As the Programming Manager, Organic Social, you'll own the content calendar, craft witty copy, and ensure our feeds (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) reflect the pulse of NFL culture-blending Chargers fandom with viral trends, live game coverage, and irreverent creativity.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the day-to-day posting across social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
  • Ideate and write copy in line with the social voice of our accounts
  • Maintain posting schedule and cadence
  • Ideate and create content for Chargers social media channels, including but not limited to, in-game live coverage, reactive content, memes/trends and sponsored content
  • Cover practices, games and other events as needed
  • Support and/or manage Chargers ancillary social media channels (ChargersPup, ChargersCR, LinkedIn)
  • Assist and collaborate with real time social producers and video staff on relevant executions
  • Monitor news and social media to identify what is trending in sports and relevant pop culture
  • Be a positive influence on coworkers and bring a positive mindset with a problem solving mentality to work

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 years experience in social media content programming
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere

REQUIREMENTS

  • Understanding of trends, memes, viral content and popular culture
  • Very Online: passionate towards Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Strong copywriting and communication skills
  • Well versed in football and the NFL
  • Previous professional experience managing social media accounts
  • Some experience with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus
