Position Description:

The Programmer Analyst IV's role is to assist with the development of project plans to test, analyze, and maintain software applications in support of business requirements. This position is also responsible for supervising and/or leading the development of new systems, directing changes to existing systems, controlling the interfaces between the systems, initiating complex feasibility studies, and making recommendations of the action to be taken. The position is also expected to assist senior departmental management in determining the strategic IT direction for the area and/or unit and, as such, may interface with key IT leadership. Discretion and sound judgment is expected.

Major/Essential Functions:
  • Designs, creates, modifies, and tunes databases to support the institution's operations
  • Designs and codes new software or modifies existing software to add new features or integrate systems
  • Performs testing and troubleshooting of applications on different platforms
  • Ensure database security, policies, data integrity, DB standards and best practices
  • Help define team development and engineering best practices
  • Support supervisor in the management of projects and team members
  • Assists with the selection, design, and implementation of new technology
  • Act as a software architect for projects if necessary
  • Data extraction, transformation, and loading
  • Creation and automation of reports
  • Other job related duties as assigned.
  • Be available during off-working hours in case of an emergency

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical and programming skills
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
  • Familiar with project planning and task scheduling
  • Familiar with design patterns
  • At least 4 years of experience as a developer in SQL Database 2014 or higher, Visual Studio with javascript, jquery, WCF, C , LINQ, Entity Framework, and MVC Framework
  • Must be team-oriented; mentors other developers
  • Must have strong analytical skills
  • Must be highly self-motivated, flexible, and self-sufficient
  • A technical skills assessment exam will be administered

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, MIS, IT, or other related area plus five (5) years related full-time paid experience.
