Overview GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Programmer Analyst based in the Mechanicsburg, PA area. This role will be fully onsite for the first six weeks of training, with the opportunity to telework two days a week afterward.
Position Overview As a Programmer Analyst you will be responsible for leading the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of key components within the Common Pleas Criminal Court Case Management System (CPCMS) and the Magisterial District Judge System (MDJS). This includes developing and optimizing presentation, database, and reporting tiers using object-oriented methodologies, VB.NET, SAP ASE T-SQL, and Crystal Reports. You will work closely with cross-functional technical teams to ensure performance, reliability, and maintainability in accordance with established standards and best practices.
Responsibilities- Lead investigation, design proposal, development, verification, and implementation phases for system functional areas using resources from multiple technical teams.
- Design, implement, and maintain database code objects (stored procedures, views), integrating with presentation and/or middle-tier objects in alignment with database standards and best practices.
- Analyze system performance and lead the tuning of VB.NET and T-SQL code to ensure efficient system throughput.
- Code the Presentation Tier of client/server systems using VB.NET WinForms, XML, third-party/custom-built control libraries, SAP ASE T-SQL, and Crystal Reports.
- Analyze database models and create XML database schemas (XSDs) to support efficient data retrieval.
- Investigate and resolve user-reported issues by replicating the problem, analyzing code, and applying fixes.
- Conduct testing to validate application functionality and address reported bugs.
- Analyze, evaluate, create, and document system requirements related to application reporting.
- Adhere to standard development practices for coding style, source code control, and promotion across development, testing, and production environments.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree with an IT-related major.
- Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience in applications development.
- Ability to pass a satisfactory criminal background check.
Technical Requirements - Proficiency with Microsoft VB.NET and WinForms development.
- Experience with SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) Transact-SQL (T-SQL).
- Advanced Crystal Reports development (SAP Crystal Reports).
- Familiarity with XML and XML Schema Definitions (XSD).
- Source control and collaboration using Azure DevOps Studio.
- Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio and IDERA RapidSQL.
- Effective communication and remote collaboration tools, including Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, and Microsoft 365 Apps.
