30% - Build on existing code-base to add functionality to the Brainstorm and Brainsuite software developed at USC using a combination of Matlab, Java, C and Python. Consult with faculty, research sta and lab collaborators to define software needs and functionality. Develop code to import and analyze data from commercial devices including MRI, EEG, biosensors and video sources. 30% - Develop code for interactive display and visualization of brain mapping data. Integrate multimodal data including spatial coregistration and development of display software using techniques including surface and volume rendering and AR/VR technologies. 20% - Respond to and fix bugs reported by software users. Develop routines for regression testing of software and correct and resolve bugs and software issues identified. Maintain and manage Github repository of Lab software and hold primary responsibility for checking functionality of contributions from project collaborators. 10% - Support presentations, in-person tutorials and demonstrations, and publication of project results to top-tier conferences (OHBM, AES, IPMI, MICCAI, SPIE) and journals (Neuroimage, IEEE Trans. Medical Imaging, Medical Imaging, Human Brain Mapping). 10% - Provide support to users and contributing developers through on-line documentation and on-line user forums. Hybrid remote: May work several days per week remotely from home. Schedule subject to manager approval. Minimum requirements: Masters or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical field plus three years of work experience as a programmer analyst, research programmer, project analyst, or equivalent. Requires 3 years of full-time work experience developing and programming software applications in a research environment including: coding, debugging and support of software for analysis of brain mapping data that includes MRIs, CT scans, EEG and iEEG data; communicating and supporting collaborative activities with researchers at other universities and clinical research centers; Matlab, Python, and C ; Virtual and Augmented Reality systems and software; and image processing. Requires good oral and written English communication skills. Hybrid remote: May work several days per week remotely from home. Schedule subject to manager approval. Must be authorized to work full-time in U.S. without an employer sponsor. Pay scale: $93,000-$113,000/year
