Job Description:

Posting Summary:

• Looking for a PowerBuilder Developer and IT Analyst with a strong background specialized in PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher) and possess advanced skills in T-SQL query writing for Sybase and MS SQL Server databases.
• Day to day activities include data management, source control (TFS/Azure DevOps, GIT), unit testing, documentation, testing, production support, change management, software development and data integrity.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Some college preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline
• PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher)
• Work in a hybrid office
• Willingness to learn

Required Skills:

Job Function

PowerBuilder Developer:

• Research and modify PowerBuilder source code to document the steps the application uses with data-5 years of experience.

T-SQL Query Writing:

• Resource must have a high level of SQL query writing skills to write complex queries to pull data from a Sybase and MS SQL Server database.
• Must have experience developing processes to extract and manipulate data to support data migration and data cleansing of application data-10 years of experience.

Data Management:

• Must have experience in performing data profiling, data mapping, data manipulation, validation, and analysis-10 years of experience.

Source Control:

• Must have experience working with source control technologies such as TFS/Azure DevOps, or GIT-5 years of experience.

Unit Testing:

• Must have experience documenting and performing unit testing to support program changes-10 years of experience.

Documentation:

• Must have experience creating, updating, and maintaining documentation for programs, system specs, and flow diagrams 10 years of experience.

Testing:

• Must be able to work with the client and/or Business Analyst to support test scenarios 5 years of experience.

Production Support:

• Analyse and document identified problems to determine root cause and provide root cause analysis 5 years of experience.

Change Management:

• Follow change management procedures and provide input to execute changes 5 years of experience.
