The KPMG Consulting function is a cornerstone of our business, operating from London to serve the country with diligence and expertise.

KPMG is one of the world's largest and most respected consultancies. We have supported the UK through various times, including war, peace, prosperity, recession, and regulatory changes. We proudly stand beside the institutions and businesses that shape the UK.

Our services span disciplines such as Strategy, Forensic, Risk and Regulatory, People and Talent, and Operational and Financial Transformation. We immerse ourselves in our clients' organizations, applying sector knowledge and technology solutions to deliver optimal outcomes and ensure first-time right delivery.

Why Join KPMG as a Programme Assurance Manager? Leadership & Management:

Manage multiple engagements simultaneously under the guidance of a Senior Manager and/or Director. Lead and develop junior team members in IPA skills and experience. Engage directly with senior stakeholders (e.g., Programme Directors, CFOs), articulating risks and recommendations effectively. Collaborate with internal senior teams to secure resources and deliver work.

Impact, Risk, Accountability & Governance:

Contribute to risk management activities on large, multi-year, multimillion-pound engagements. Ensure adherence to all KPMG risk processes, given the high-risk nature of IPA work.

What Will You Be Doing?
  • Understanding end-to-end business transformation ERP programmes, including challenges and assurance requirements.
  • Understanding critical workstreams such as PMO, business change, business architecture, testing, data, and transition, leading focused reviews in these areas.
  • Recognizing key risks throughout the programme lifecycle and identifying necessary mitigations.
  • Translating observations into risks with clear impacts and practical, non-textbook recommendations.
  • Managing multiple IPA activities (stage gates, deep dives) and aligning with other assurance activities, communicating effectively with internal QA teams using appropriate language (1st/2nd/3rd line).

Lead junior teams to deliver high-quality outputs under pressure, such as health check reports, stage gate reviews, and readiness assessments.

With offices across the UK, we are part of a global network providing Audit, Tax & Law, Consulting, Deal Advisory, and Technology Services to diverse clients. Our shared values foster a strong sense of identity and growth, supporting flexible work patterns and inclusivity, including applications from those who have taken career breaks. We are members of the Business Disability Forum and welcome discussions about any adjustments needed during the application process.
