The YMCA of Newark and Vicinity is seeking a seasonal Program Services Administrator for Summer Camp program for summer season 2025. If you wish to make a lasting and positive difference in the lives of others, join our team this summer. We aim to have our summer camp staff on board by the end of May 2025. The YMCA's recruitment process includes comprehensive background screening including pre-employment drug test and criminal background check and upon hire, a wide range of trainings before start of the camp.

Summary of Position Description:

Program Service Administrator will support the administrative and business functions of the program which include but are not limited to business and financial administration, program management support, department employee process and payroll, and customer service and registrar. All staff will be required to model the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility in their work each day.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum 5 years working in an administrative setting (preferably in a childcare or youth development setting).
  • Proficient in Microsoft (word and excel) and experience with data entry and working with at least one data management system (experience with CCC preferred).
  • Must have strong organizational and project management skills and experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects required.
  • Must have strong attention to details.
  • Conflict resolution and excellent interpersonal skills required.
  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED certifications a plus.
  • Bilingual ability (English/Spanish) a plus.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30AM to 3:30PM; Some evenings for events and Saturdays for Training and special events.

Physical Demand: Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform essential functions and to supervise program activities in a wide variety of outdoor and indoor locations.
