Public Health Preparedness is seeking an Emergency Response Coordinator (PPM 2). The Emergency Response Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the readiness of Public Health's emergency response systems and supporting their use when emergencies occur.
You will:
- Develop emergency response manuals.
- Maintain emergency-related IT systems and equipment.
- Operate a physical or virtual emergency operations center during emergencies.
- Train staff in emergency procedures.
- Design simulations that help staff build emergency response skills.
Activities will bring you in contact with groups like the King County Office of Emergency Management, King County IT, and Public Health radio operators. You will participate in Public Health emergency responses as a member of the Logistics Section.
