Typical Day in the Role - Purpose of the Team: This team focuses on computing and hardware for Azure Quantum, which is a comprehensive, open cloud ecosystem that aims to bring the benefits of quantum computing to individuals and organizations worldwide. It provides a full-stack solution, including quantum solutions, software, and hardware, all accessible through Azure
- Key projects: This role will contribute to working with the DARPA agency to deliver designs and specifications for this program. This role will be spent supporting this DARPA program as well as additional PM support for hardware and test measurement equipment. This HW PM will be one of the key PMs to lead a few Systems HW subcomponent/subsystem development, from concepting phase to development phase and then to verification/validation phase.

- Documentations
- Specification writing
- Using ADO
- Using JAMA
- Working on program schedules for overall HW system or its subsystem modules
- Supporting Test & Measurement of Cryogenic Fridges (These are test systems for the quantum devices)
- Scheduling and implementing test system upgrades
- Doing the test system bug triage weekly
- Other PM tasks to be determined
Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience - Minimum 2 years experience with ADO.
- Minimum 10 years experience with industrial experience in HW development.
- Minimum 2+ years experience with Project Management.
Job Responsibilities: - Plan, create, and manage schedules and budgets for the design, prototyping, and production of hardware.
- Manage technology development projects from R&D to prototype stages.
- Identify problem areas, drive issues to closure, and ensure a solid understanding of root causes.
- Communicate complex issues and trade-offs to development partners and management.
- Present technical progress reports and build tracking dashboards.
- Oversee engineering programs and cross-functional teams across multiple geographical locations.
- Support integrated systems testing through firmware and software development or test and measurement equipment.
Qualifications: - Demonstrated ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities
- Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization
- Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions
- Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $ 90.00- $ 93.00/hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select.
