POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly experienced Program Manager to lead and oversee federal government programs for DOD/NAVFAC. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven individual with 7+ years of experience working on federal contracts and managing federal government programs. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of federal contract regulations, operational excellence, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams while delivering results on time and within budget.
What You'll Do:
- Program Leadership: Lead federal programs within DOD/NAVFAC, ensuring compliance with client requirements and regulations while managing scope, schedule, budget, and quality control.
- Client Relations and Stakeholder Management: Serve as the main contact between clients, senior management, and internal teams, fostering strong relationships and providing regular program updates.
- Contract and Financial Management: Oversee contract execution, ensuring federal compliance and financial control, while identifying cost-saving opportunities and approving invoices.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a cross-functional team, fostering collaboration, providing coaching, and ensuring continuous professional growth.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate program risks, develop contingency plans, and ensure compliance with regulations to minimize non-compliance risks.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare clear program reports and presentations, maintain documentation for activities and deliverables, and conduct post-program reviews for performance improvement.
What You'll Bring:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in program management with a focus on federal contracts, preferably with DOD/NAVFAC or other federal entities. Experience working with federal procurement regulations and managing FAR-based contracts. Strong understanding of government budgeting and financial oversight.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced, regulatory-driven environment
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Not initially, however may lead into a supervisory role.
