Join us to make legends happen. THE ROLE Manages all activities of retail operations for onsite merchandise sales at all IMS related events. ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage the operational aspects of IMS and related events to include merchandise, planning, logistics, operations, and financial
  • Direct Reports: IMS Museum Store Manager, IMS Operations Manager
  • Assist and support INDYCAR Merchandise Operations
  • Oversee the Recruitment and Management of the NPO Program and Internship Program
  • Ensure all requirements of doing business at a location are completed including licenses/permits, COI, agreements, etc
  • Coordinate operational agreements and logistics for the following: Tents, Golf Carts, Radios, Fork Lift, Signage, Equipment, etc
  • Manage all credentials, parking and related functions
  • Oversee Planning, Setup, Execution and Teardown of all IMS related events
  • Expert on all LGM Policy and Procedures.
  • Works closely with Director of Events on all initiatives
  • Leads bi-weekly meetings with all IMS team
  • Manages safety program for all IMS staff and events related to merchandise operations
  • Works closely with Merchandising Teams on buying, planning and execution of product line
  • Collaborate with IMS Facilities and Operations team on planning, maintenance, work orders, etc
  • Works closely with the client to ensure all needs are met according to contract agreements
  • Provide Reporting to client via event sales flash, post-event recap, monthly sales, annual recaps
  • Oversee proper display of all merchandise in all sales locations, checking on planograms, pricing, and templates
  • Collaborate with internal departments: Finance, Warehouse/DC, IT, HR, Marketing, Ecommerce, Etc
  • Other duties may be assigned
  • This position requires that the person be highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently
  • Must have strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage people
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
  • Must be able to travel throughout the year to support other LGM events
  • Must be a team player
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Etc)
  • Works in a variety of different environments including office, warehouse, stores, outdoor, etc
  • Event schedule requires extended days, nights, weekends and holidays
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.   • Bachelor's degree in business, management or related field, is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years retail operations management experience including proven skills in event management and operations
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with direct reports
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • In-depth knowledge of merchandising techniques and retail operations, policies and procedures
