Torch Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager located in Huntsville, AL, supporting our Advanced Concepts Engineering - Technology Development (ACE-TD) group. This role is responsible for managing highly complex and high-risk technical programs, including potential fixed-price contracts. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in program management, with additional expertise in engineering, manufacturing, business strategy, and customer engagement. This position requires a strategic mindset to identify and capture new growth opportunities that leverage the ACE-TD group's technical capabilities, facilities, and deep experience. This role carries a high level of complexity, with responsibilities extending beyond execution to include program growth, potential profit and loss (P&L) responsibility, and business development within both existing and new customer bases. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage budgets, schedules, resources, and customer relationships for technical programs of significant scope. Responsibilities: Manage complex and high-risk technical programs, potentially under fixed-price contracts Define program strategies aligned with company objectives and customer requirements Oversee the program's scope, schedule, and budget to ensure delivery against contract requirements Lead and direct multidisciplinary teams, including engineers and support staff, to execute program objectives Foster and maintain communication across project teams, task leads, and customers Identify and pursue growth opportunities and follow-on business with existing and prospective customers May serve as the primary business development lead within the program area Ensure effective subcontractor management and execution of the material plan Monitor and report on program performance, including cost, schedule, technical progress, and risks Plan and execute hardware-centric and R&D-focused technical projects Development, management, coordination, and presentation of various informational products to support: Weekly Program Management Reviews (PMRs) Weekly senior management meetings Monthly internal and external programmatic reviews Customer IPT meetings Tracking and providing status of internal and external action items Perform other duties as required Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution 12+ years of experience in project engineering-preferably supporting hardware systems development programs. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required Demonstrated experience leading teams on advanced technical development efforts and/or complex systems-of-systems programs. Proven track record of successfully managing multiple, concurrent programs. Experience managing firm fixed-price contracts, including the development and execution of risk management and mitigation plans. Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, tools, and best practices. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Effective communicator with the ability to articulate program vision and objectives clearly across diverse teams. Proven ability to analyze and synthesize complex information and data to solve challenging problems and make informed decisions. Experience in supply chain management and working collaboratively with suppliers to meet both hardware and non-hardware deliverable requirements. Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where team members contribute across multiple functions. Demonstrates strong initiative, accountability, and a results-driven mindset.
