Job Duties: Act as the technical customer interface. Define, plan and manage project timelines, objectives, goals and milestone activities. Manage and direct a cross functional team consisting of multiple disciplines. Manage and supervise a small team of direct reports. Lead and manage engagements with customers, internal team leads, and third-party vendors. Manage and coordinate activities between departments to meet product development requirements. Manage product design cost targets and long-term strategy as set by Senior Management staff. Simultaneously set priorities and direction for multiple programs in development. Generate and facilitate documentation per department process and or procedures. Support special assignments and or activity as assigned by Senior Management. Manage product portfolio, which includes new development and maintenance of current production programs. Minimum Requirements: Must have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience. Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following: Tier 1 Customer facing experience, including presenting timing plans, resolutions, and proposals; Risk management including new technical product implementation, validation, and launch; and Risk reduction methodologies including leading, driving, and making decisions with stakeholders. Must have 4 years of experience in each of the following: Automotive OEM (Stellantis) or a Tier One supplier managing multiple technical projects simultaneously and delivering to agreed upon cost, quality, and timing expectations; New engineering product development execution including phase reviews, tech reviews, engineering approvals, engineering validation review, and tooling kick off; and Identifying and mitigating both technical challenges including engineering drawings, CAD, DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and customer specs/requirements, and organizational challenges including knowing key stakeholders and technical decision makers. Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following: Customer product portfolio management; Managing program budgets and financials including business cases, cost impacts on technical decisions, and finding and executing cost saving plans; and Operations experience working directly with product manufacturers and plants.
