In this role, you will manage programs & projects for the Pharma Partnerships (PhP) business. Your responsibilities include overseeing (1) portfolio, strategic and operational initiatives as well as (2) development and commercialization collaborations with external pharma partners. You will also be responsible for setting up program core teams and sub-teams meetings, directing project planning, maintaining communication and alignment between internal and external teams, and overseeing development execution of future clinical offerings.
Responsibilities:
  • Program management of Pharma Partnerships (PhP) business as related to business portfolio, strategic and operational initiatives:
  • Coordinate with the PhP General Manager (GM), Product Management, Business Development, and Finance on long-range planning and annual operating planning
  • Build processes with PhP cross functional leads that meet PhP business objectives and maximize the efficiency of the PhP business
  • Review and approve program resourcing, timelines and budgets within PhP portfolio
  • Establish and align PhP program KPIs with Portfolio Manager and conduct performance assessments with Program Managers and FP&A (Finance) partner to maintain PhP Portfolio Health
  • Monitor financial data with FP&A partner, recommend and execute solutions that will improve profitability
  • Coordinate with the PhP GM, People Team (Human Resources) and PhP cross-functional managers to ensure PhP cross-functional hiring plans meet our business needs
  • Ensure external and internal stakeholder needs are incorporated into strategic plansSchedule, organize, and drive PhP internal governance meetings: prepare and distribute agendas, track action items, proactively manage the project risk register, and escalate areas of concern to the appropriate management entity
  • Contribute to the establishment of common practices, tools, and templates for portfolio and project management

  • Program management of Pharma Partnerships (PhP) business as related to development & commercialization collaborations with external Pharma Partners:
  • Build and maintain gantt charts and dashboards that use metrics and data visualization effectively to report project, program and/or portfolio performance and support decision-making at the team or governance level with Pharma Partners
  • Lead weekly portfolio performance and action item reviews with Pharma Partner including pilots, research projects, clinical development projects, and strategic initiatives
  • Represent Program Management in meetings for all project status updates within the Pharma Partner's portfolio
  • Analyze key performance indicators to produce reports on Partner portfolio and projects
  • Coordinate with project teams to identify issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Monitor and assist to resolve conflict issues within the Partner's project, program, or portfolio
  • Manage internal and external escalations that threaten portfolio and project success

Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of a BA/BS in a scientific discipline is required, while an advanced degree is desirable in a discipline related to device, diagnostic, and/or drug development
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years multidisciplinary experience in the device/diagnostic/biotech industry, with at least 5 years of direct product or program management experience on cross functional product development teams
  • Candidate has experience interpreting financial data and allocating budgets
  • Experience with SmartSheets, JIRA, and Google Workspace is highly desired
  • Experience with forecasting models is highly desired
  • Experience leading teams to successfully development and commercialization of products under CAP/CLIA regulations is required
  • Experience leading teams to successfully development and commercialization of medical devices or IVD products is highly desired
  • Experience working and managing projects under design control is highly desired

Expected full time annual base pay scale for this position is $205K-$256K. Actual base pay will consider skills, experience and location.

Based on the role, colleagues may be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan tied to company and individual performance, or an incentive plan. We also offer a long-term incentive plan to align company and colleague success over time.
