Northwell Health and the Department of Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital are seeking a Board-Certified Physician to join our team as a Program Director. Among other responsibilities, the Program Director will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at the Hospital and will direct the educational curriculum, both inpatient and outpatient.
Other key responsibilities of the Program Director will include supervising residents, students, and other trainees caring for patients under the auspices of the Department. They will also oversee the coordination and scheduling of clinical assignments and faculty participation, conference development and implementation, and serve as a preceptor in the inpatient and/or outpatient setting. The Program Director will serve on Hospital committees and perform other medical staff and administrative functions as required.
The Department of Internal Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital is a growing and dynamic group of faculty that focuses on high quality medical education, primary and medical subspecialty care delivery, and faculty development with Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. DOM provides ambulatory education to our 94 Internal Medicine residents at Lenox Hill Hospital. Our IM Residency includes Primary Care and Categorical Programs as well as an LGBTQ+/HIV Care Track. Faculty appointments are through the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
