Hours : Monday-Friday 12:00 PM-5:00 PM
Summary of Responsibilities
•  Provides training and serves as a resource for student interns and staff. Contributes to the development and updating of training materials. Mentors student interns and junior staff, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
•  Coaches university students and employees in behavior modification programs. Serves as a resource for clients and supports them in pursuing health behavior changes.
•  Participates in the preparation and supervision of health screenings, Health and Wellness Fairs, and other wellness-related workshops/events.
•  Proofreads and approves marketing materials created by interns to ensure accuracy and quality.
•  Creates promotional materials and manages wellness promotions (social media, handbills, hallway booths, website, etc.), updating and modifying current promotional materials, and maintaining promotional bulletin and brochure holders.
•  Collaborates with the Wellness Programs Director and Program Manager to discuss and plan wellness events, ideas, and activities. Coordinates with the Wellness Program Director, Wellness Programs Manager, Wellness interns, Recreation and Wellness Center staff, and other departments to promote/co-sponsored events and services.
•  Conducts research on health and wellness trends and integrates findings into program development. Ensures guest presentations and behavior modification programs are current, credible, and appealing to target populations. Participates in the revision of wellness programs and services.
•  Evaluates the impact of wellness programs through surveys and feedback mechanisms. Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree in Public Health, Exercise and Wellness, or related field plus one year related experience OR within 1 year of graduation with a bachelor's degree in a related field plus 2 years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications
•  CHES (Certified Health Education Specialist) certification or the ability to obtain CHES certification within one year of hire.
•  Experience in developing and implementing specialized wellness programs.
•  Experience in conducting research and data analysis.
•  Proficiency in using Canva or similar design software for creating marketing materials. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Knowledge
•  Knowledge of health and wellness education programs.
•  Knowledge of specialized wellness topics such as stress management, nutrition, and mental health.
•  Knowledge of public health program planning and implementation procedures.
•  Knowledge of program evaluation methods and impact assessment.
•  Knowledge of behavior modification process, challenges, barriers, and techniques to assist clients.
•  Knowledge of social marketing methods.
•  Knowledge of basic health screening methods and procedures. Skills
•  Skills in behavior modification counseling.
•  Skills in the use of computers and computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and social media.
•  Proficiency in using Canva or similar design software to create marketing materials such as posters, flyers, social media posts, and brochures.
•  Skills in developing and implementing specialized wellness programs.
•  Interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
•  Skills in public speaking and delivering educational workshops. Abilities
•  Ability to plan, implement, present, and evaluate health promotion events, workshops, presentations, and educational campaigns.
•  Ability to interpret and analyze data and develop implementation plans.
•  Ability to communicate to groups of students, staff, and faculty.
•  Ability to develop and implement specialized wellness programs.
•  Ability to engage in community outreach and build partnerships.
•  Ability to evaluate program impact and make recommendations for improvements.

•  Ability to proofread and approve marketing materials created by interns.
