Centralia College is located on a 30-acre campus in the heart of Centralia, Washington and has been serving students in the Lewis County region since 1925. As a comprehensive community college, Centralia College offers academic transfer and workforce programs, as well as adult basic education, ELL, and personal enrichment classes. The college also offers five Bachelor of Applied Science degrees: Information Technology - Application Development, Diesel Technology, Applied Management (Business), Behavioral Healthcare and Teacher Education.

In addition to the main campus in Centralia, Centralia College East in Morton is a smaller site that serves the needs of students in east Lewis County. Since the college is committed to the success of all students, Centralia College also provides educational programs at two corrections centers in southwest Washington - Garrett Heyns Education Center located in Shelton, Washington and the Cedar Creek Corrections Center located in Littlerock, Washington. In addition to Green Hill School in Chehalis, Washington. In total, the college serves more than 7,000 students annually. Job Description The Testing Center is open 8am-5pm. This position works under the general supervision of the Testing Center manager to provide current/future students, staff, testing candidates and the community with information and procedures related to a variety of tests offered through Centralia College's Testing Center. This position is responsible for adhering to a variety of test proctoring requirements, data collection and entry, scheduling, and providing quality customer service over the phone and in person.

Duties and Responsibilities
    Reception and intake of current and future students, provide appropriate information to visitors to campusAnswer telephone inquiries and appropriately guide current and future studentsStrong and effective customer service in person and over the phoneProctoring a variety of tests including, college-placement test, CASAS, Pearson Vue, Kaplan, and course specific tests Complete annual proctor certificationsSchedule and arrange testing appointments including accommodating testing, use of scheduling of Whisper Room Enter test scores in college ctcLink systemCollaborate and work closely with other campus departments to ensure effective services to students Adhere to FERPA and confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
    High school graduation or equivalent and two-years of customer service/clerical experience or equivalent education and experienceCommunication skills: Ability to communicate effectively; follow and provide clear instructions; consistently provide a positive customer services attitudeDependability, promptness and consistent adherence to work schedule Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
Preferred Qualifications
    Familiarity with Centralia College campusAbility to multi-task and pay attention to detailAbility to adhere to and explain testing protocolsBi-lingual SpanishDemonstrated patience during stressful/frustrating situations
Conditions of Employment

There is one 16 hours per week year round position. Classified employees are represented by the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE).

DEADLINE: This position will close May 26, 2025. The screening committee will begin their review May 27, 2025.

COMPENSATION
Monthly Salary: Range 37 ($1,295.60 - $1,677.60)
