Part-Time, Non-Union, Non-Exempt Position

$18.78 per hour, 20-25 hours per week

M-F, 8:30am-1:30pm / M-F, 1:00pm-5:00pm

BASIC FUNCTION OF PROGRAM AIDE/RECEPTIONIST:

To provide program support to the Early Childhood Division through office and reception duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF PROGRAM AIDE/RECEPTIONIST:
  • Maintains database for program requirements.
  • Meets and greets parents, family members and community representatives.
  • Serves as attendant for telephone system including answering/screening calls, respond to inquiries, relay messages.
  • Serves as attendant for door security system (monitoring who is entering the building).
  • Operates personal computers and office machines.
  • Prepares letters, forms, and documents.
  • Maintains appointment calendar including intake appointments.
  • Input of applicants into the Procare and CMS data system.
  • Participates in scheduled staff conferences and meetings.
  • Supports parent involvement and engagement throughout ECD.
  • Assits parents with enrollement paperwork.
  • Notifies appropriate people of meetings.
  • Fulfills Mandated Reporter responsibilities.
  • Provides translation for Spanish speaking parents.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

REQUIREMENTS OF PROGRAM AIDE/RECEPTIONIST:

Education:

H.S. Diploma or GED required.

Experience:
  • H.S. Diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of related secretarial experience and/or training that could provide the required knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the duties.
  • Must be Bilingual (Spanish).
