Job Description Our clientis a growing civil engineering firm whose civil engineering, landscape architecture, and surveying services have transformed via modern-day technologies, but their core purpose has remained. They are seeking a PLS to join their growing team.
Responsibilities: - Demonstrate excellent attention to detail throughout the survey process.
- Use your knowledge of ALTA/ACSM land title surveys, topographic mapping, courthouse research, boundary surveys, construction layout, and GPS surveys to contribute to the project's success.
- Prepare and maintain maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.
- Direct and verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
- Manage survey projects from proposal through approval process.
- Monitor quality and compliance with professional standards and risk management.
- Conduct survey and deed research to complete boundary resolution for property boundaries and rights-of-way.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: - Ohio Professional Surveyor or working toward license.
- Bachelor's Degree in Survey/Engineering or similar
- 3+ years of experience in surveying
- Experience performing property, boundary, topographic, utility, construction stakeout, and record surveys is required.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong background in boundary/property law and boundary analysis
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/responsibilities simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of a robot total station and GPS receiver preferred, but not required.
- Maintain excellent client relations
