Our land survey group is seeking a professional land surveyor close to the Triad/Piedmont area of North Carolina and our Burlington location. This is an ideal position for a qualified candidate with at least five years of professional experience as a Professional Land Surveyor. Then apply now and grow with us. On any given day, you'll: Direct field and office staff on a variety of survey related projects and tasks. Work closely with the project manager to ensure scope, schedule and budget requirements are being met on survey projects. Implement QA/QC practices for final survey deliverable. Overtime and occasional out of town travel is anticipated. Required Qualifications: 10-15 years of relevant work experience. North Carolina Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license. Technically sound in the use of Trimble equipment and software. Self-starter who can work independently and who can adapt to working in a team setting. Physical ability to walk over uneven terrain and lift up to 50 lbs. Valid driver's license with good driving record. Desired Skills and Experiences: A two-year degree in land surveying or civil engineering technology or a four-year degree in land surveying. Experience with Design surveys, including transportation, utility, municipal, and site development. Geospatial control and lidar QA/QC. Performing computations for construction layout for transportation, utility, building, and municipal projects. Preparing legal descriptions. Land surveys, including ALTA and right-of-way plats. Understanding of NCDOT surveying procedures. Prior project management experience is a plus.
