Position: Production Technician
Location: Wharton, NJ

Schedule: 4:00 PM - 1:00 AM, Monday through Saturday
Job Description:
We are looking for a Process Technician to join our client's team in Wharton, NJ. This position is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing processing equipment to ensure production runs smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Follow food safety, quality, and safety regulations (GMPs, HACCP, SQF, etc.).
- Learn how to operate and repair machinery in the assigned area.
- Ensure products meet quality and integrity standards.
- Set up, use, and maintain welding, torch, and electrical equipment.
- Perform fabrication and welding (stick, MIG, TIG) as needed.
- Troubleshoot PLC systems and follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Perform electrical repairs, including motor, switch, and frequency drive replacements.
- Troubleshoot and repair solenoids, plumbing, and gearboxes.
- Read and interpret blueprints and repair manuals.
- Install and remove new and used equipment.
- Identify and order replacement parts.
- Work in high places and use ladders safely.
- Heavy lifting required.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Communicate with operators to troubleshoot problems.
- Report equipment issues to supervisors.
- Operate a forklift as needed.
- Support all areas of processing operations.
- Work well with supervisors and team members.
Requirements:
- Experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, welding, and plumbing repairs.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working at heights and lifting heavy materials.
- Forklift experience (preferred).
- Understanding of food safety regulations.
