WORK HOURS: Monday-Friday 40 hours per week covering multiple shifts from
4:00 AM - 1:00 PM cover 2nd shift from 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM. OT will be required during peak operations (July-Dec).
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: BSN SPORTS is seeking a collaborative and experienced Production Operations Manager in Grand Prairie, TX. In this key leadership position within the Production team, the Production Operations Manager will ensure a safe work environment, mentor and develop team members, and work closely with various teams across the organization to meet KPIs that deliver exceptional service to our coaches and student athletes.
We are looking for a Leader of Managers. Demonstrated experience with SQDCP is paramount. Experience in developing a deep bench of internal talent is required. WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Production Manager oversees 5 Department Managers and is responsible for producing high quality decorated garments for our student athletes across a multi-shift operation with approximately 270 team members utilizing various decoration methods, including Embroidery, Screen printing, and Digital Fusion.
QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Professional written and verbal communication and listening skills
- Solution oriented and change management minded
- Commitment to a continuous improvement environment, tenacity to drive change
- Collaborate with peers for team and Operational success
- Computer literate with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Able to multitask and juggle competing priorities, pivot quickly to resolve issues.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts in support of the operation
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor's Degree in any field and/or 5 years' experience in manufacturing/production setting
- 3-5 years' experience in a manager level role required, must have lead managers.
- Experience in P/L Management
- Experience in workforce planning
- Demonstrated experience in coaching and developing high performing teams.
- LEAN/process/continuous improvement concepts and principles, including creating GEMBA metrics
- Working knowledge of SAP ERP software, including reporting and analysis
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
