The Production Supervisor/Planner will report to the VP of Operations. The Production Supervisor / Planner will be detail orientated to oversee daily production activities and coordinate the production schedule to meet customer demand and company goals. This hybrid role combines hands-on leadership on the production floor with strategic planning responsibilities, ensuring optimal resource utilization, and timely order fulfillment.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer requirements and optimize workflow.
Supervise and support Production Leads and Operators involved in coiling, forming, grinding, packaging and other manufacturing processes.
Ensure the effective use of equipment, materials, and labor to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
Monitor production performance and adjust plans to resolve bottlenecks or delays.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.
Promote and enforce a safe working environment and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Lead daily production meetings with operations and Inside Sales.
Drive process improvements and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
Manage training matrix and identify cross training needs to create a flexible work force.
Assist in the budgeting process and manage accordingly.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in engineering, operations or business administration is preferred, but significant operations experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
A minimum of three years of supervisory or scheduling / planning experience is required.
The ideal candidate would have experience in production management / supervision and planning / scheduling.
