Production Supervisor - Join a Growing Engineering Business in the Southwest.

Location: Yeovil, Somerset
Salary: 30,000- 35,000
Type: Full-time, Permanent

Shorterm Group are currently working with a family-run engineering and haulage company which is expanding, and we're looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to join their team.

About:
The company manufacture and install high-quality bulk feed silos and auger conveying systems for agricultural clients across the UK. With an increase in project demand and continued business growth, they are creating a brand-new role to strengthen our workshop and on-site operations.

The Role:
As their Production Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading a small but skilled team in both fabrication and on-site installation. This is a varied, practical role where you'll manage daily workshop activities, oversee installations on farms, and ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.
You'll work closely with our Directors and Office Manager, taking responsibility for scheduling, team output, quality control, and customer relationships-both in the workshop and out on the road.

What You'll Be Doing:
Leading and supervising a small team of workshop and installation operatives
Managing day-to-day shop floor activities and on-site installations
Coordinating project timelines and reporting progress to the Directors
Overseeing stores and materials, including stock control
Ensuring health & safety compliance, and producing risk assessments
Hands-on fabrication of silos and equipment
Travelling across the South West and wider UK (some overnight stays required)

What We're Looking For
Practical experience in fabrication and/or agricultural equipment installation
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience (ideal)
Strong organisational skills and a problem-solving mindset
Understanding of health and safety standards in a workshop/site setting
Full UK driving licence
A flexible, proactive attitude with the willingness to travel as needed
