Position Overview:
For our client, we are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the Cut Floor operations on B Shift at our Waterloo, IA facility.

This position plays a key role in maintaining high levels of production, quality, and safety. The ideal candidate will bring experience in pork or beef production and possess excellent communication skills to effectively lead and support a dedicated team.

Compensation:
Our client offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $60,000 to $68,000, commensurate with your experience, education, certifications, and skill set. This reflects a strong commitment to attracting top-tier talent for this pivotal role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily production activities to ensure high quality and yield in a safe environment.
  • Oversee staffing, production line maintenance, and compliance with USDA inspections.
  • Review daily production orders and ensure that all positions are staffed before start-up.
  • Promote safety through daily practices and monthly meetings.
  • Manage inventory rotation, accurate shipments, and product coding.
  • Foster a positive team environment through training, retention efforts, and human relations functions.
  • Communicate company policies, benefits, and procedures effectively to team members.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: At least 1 year in a meat manufacturing environment, preferably with pork or beef production experience. Prior supervisory experience is highly preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma required; additional education or vocational training is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage workflow, schedules, and resources effectively.
  • Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with computers is helpful.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities: This role supervises a team of production personnel.
  • Travel: Minimal travel, typically 1-5 trips per year.
  • Work Hours: This position does not offer flexible work hours.
