Gpac is currently seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor for a food manufacturer near Dayton, OH. This person will be responsible for overseeing production lines and ensuring production runs smoothly. The company is growth minded so looking for someone who has a solid background in production leadership and continuous improvement as they continue to scale.
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversite and guidance to line operators to ensure smooth running of plant operations
- Meet with VP of Operations and President to work on weekly schedule of runs
- Oversee raw material utilization, yields, supplies and waste reduction to ensure they are being managed in the most efficient manner.
- Oversee production function of ERP system, ensuring that all data entry is kept up to date enabling accurate inventory management.
- Ensure daily paperwork is completed fully and approved
- Support initiatives for improvement in plant performance using established methods. Participate in daily plant management meetings
- Monitor line equipment for functionality, safety and cleanliness. Perform daily GMP and sanitation audits
- Follow GMPs, HACCP and CCPs
- Ensure compliance with Safety Standards and promote a safe work environment
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous production experience within food or beverage manufacturing
- Knowledge of GMP's, HACCP, and SQF, and Continuous Improvement
- Knowledge of production and ability to lead, develop, train, and motivate workforce while at the same time ensuring a healthy work environment and a high level of employee engagement
- Problem solving skills and hands on approach
- Maintenance skills not a requirement but highly preferred.
