This role manages the day-to-day manufacturing production team operations; responsible for daily operations of multiple production lines; providing incredible service and support to employees; ensuring food and human safety; product quality and efficiency of the operation.What will I do?
• Manage and develop team of employees, engage in meaningful conversations, build trusted relationships and provide the resources, feedback, and development opportunities they need to be successful
• Use knowledge of regulations governing operation to administer practices/policies and ensure compliancy; ensure equipment, regulatory compliance, process controls, and safety standards are met
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment, Lock Out Tag Out, HACCP & Good Manufacturing Practices
• Develop and communicate tactical plans and goals; execute daily plans to meet productivity standard and communicate status to team members
• Oversee shift operations including product quality, product & people scheduling, daily work responsibilities; manage daily, weekly, and monthly operations and working with others responsible for area goals
• Delegate tasks to team members and empower them to take on new challenges; ensure department tasks are prioritized and completed efficiently
• Actively work with team to identify opportunities to improve operation, partner with support groups on implementation of changes and projects. Make recommendations for improvements
• Delegate and answer questions regarding product quality and scheduling, people and responsibilities
• Identify and implement best practices, provide recommendations on improving productivity and ways to reduce operating expenses while maintaining product quality. Identify critical situations and escalate effectively
• Maintain accuracy of ERP system; ensure established procedures are performed within specific time frames
• Communicate and interact with various support teams as a subject matter expert Required Qualifications
• 2 or more years of leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Experience managing and developing a team in a food manufacturing environment
• Food safety experience
• Microsoft Office skills Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with manufacturing regulatory compliance
• Experience with manufacturing systems, processes and/or regulations
