About the Company
We are partnering with a well-established aerospace manufacturing company near the Long Beach area that is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily operations within a fabrication or subassembly production area. This role is ideal for someone with leadership experience who is looking for long-term career growth and the opportunity to take on more responsibility in a promotable environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support hourly employees to meet production goals
- Manage daily Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) metrics
- Oversee production flow across both 1st and 2nd shifts
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions in assembly, welding, and fabrication
- Monitor productivity through visual management tools and daily performance reviews
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure product quality and on-time delivery
- Enforce safety regulations and ensure compliance with labor agreements
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for team and departmental activities
- Support installation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment
- Experience in a unionized setting and with lean manufacturing principles is highly desirable
- Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with metal forming, machining, composite fabrication, and sub-assembly testing is a plus
Additional Information:
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 35lbs.Frequent standing, walking, and use of a computer monitor
- This is an FAA safety-sensitive position. Pre-employment and random drug testing is required, including screening for THC, Cocaine, Amphetamines, Opiates, and PCP.
