Position Overview

A leading manufacturing company is hiring a Production Supervisor to oversee plant operations on a 2-3-2 rotating 12-hour shift. This role is responsible for supervising manufacturing personnel, ensuring safety compliance, meeting production goals, and driving quality and efficiency across key departments. Ideal candidates will have experience as a shift supervisor, production lead, or manufacturing team lead in a fast-paced industrial or high-volume production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise hourly production employees across multiple departments during a 12-hour shift (2-3-2 schedule).
  • Ensure all shift activities meet safety, quality, and productivity standards.
  • Monitor and manage daily production flow, equipment performance, and staffing levels.
  • Resolve issues in real time and adjust plans to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Act as Incident Commander during emergency situations on shift.
  • Conduct safety audits, enforce policies, and promote a hazard-free work environment.
  • Address quality concerns promptly; apply root-cause analysis to eliminate recurring issues.
  • Coach and mentor production employees; facilitate on-the-job training and enforce company policies.
  • Promote a team-oriented culture focused on continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with plant rules and consistent execution of disciplinary procedures when necessary.
  • Support off-shift and weekend operations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a production supervisor, shift supervisor, or in a similar manufacturing leadership role.
  • Strong working knowledge of plant operations, production metrics, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with manufacturing systems is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and drive results in a high-pressure environment.
