Our client is seeking a proactive and results-driven Production Supervisor to join their team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for organizing, planning, and managing assembly and production operations to meet company deadlines while maintaining a strong focus on safety, employee development, and continuous improvement.
The right candidate will be a hands-on leader, an effective communicator, and a solutions-oriented problem solver who can inspire and drive team performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Assembly Production team, acting as the first point of contact for personnel management, including performance reviews, time-off approvals, timecard processing, scheduling, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate workforce and equipment usage to meet production targets and deliver orders on time.
- Foster collaboration between Assembly, Quality, Receiving, and Shipping departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Champion a safe working environment and promote adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- Build, develop, and hold the team accountable for operational excellence, aligned with company values and culture.
- Maintain equipment quality and readiness to support production demands.
- Identify and resolve production issues quickly and efficiently.
- Organize and optimize production floor activities alongside team leads to maximize efficiency.
- Plan and allocate resources to ensure timely shipping of customer orders.
- Build a flexible, cross-trained workforce to support multiple product lines and growth initiatives.
- Review and adjust production schedules to ensure productivity and output goals are consistently met.
- Support the creation and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Continuously drive improvements in processes, efficiency, and team performance.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a Manufacturing or Production environment.
- 3+ years of proven leadership experience in a supervisory role.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong teams, lead by example, and develop productive relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Highly organized and deadline-driven, with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven mindset and ability to anticipate production trends.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and timekeeping software.
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical assembly processes.
- Hands-on experience with continuous improvement initiatives and Lean/5S methodologies.
