Production Specialist
Vector Surgical is an award-winning medical device company. Small, yet dynamic, we are growing quickly and looking for an outstanding individual for our Production Specialist role. This is a hands-on role in our manufacturing operations. This role is part-time (12-30 hours per week) to full time. This position is 100% on site at in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Hours are Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities:
Order Processing and Shipping
- Process orders to distribute our product to customers.
- Prepare items for shipment.
Receive and Organize Inventory
- Receive materials, move into the warehouse and record in the ERP software system (training provided).
- Perform incoming inspections, in-process inspections and final inspections of materials/products.
- Use pallet jack and electric pallet lift to move materials to/from storage racks (training provided).
Assemble Products
- Perform light assembly and kitting of materials, labelling, etc.
- Operate a small pump to fill bottles with liquids to specific fill levels.
Overall Warehouse Upkeep
- Ensure that warehouse and production facility are clean and organized at all times.
- Take initiative to suggest improvements to warehouse organizational layout, efficiency safety and functioning.
- Suggest process improvements to assembly and kitting operations.
- Develop work instructions and train people on the new processes.
Qualifications:
- Associate/Bachelor's degree or in progress.
- Commitment to quality: follow work instructions and raise concerns to ensure customers receive products that meet/exceed specifications.
- Manage tasks and grow within this role and company.
- Strong interpersonal skills. You will be engaging and working with everyone in the organization.
- Positive, energetic style that supports the success of entire team.
- Hands-on, flexible to shift work duties during the day/week based upon customer orders.
- Willing and able to lift/move up to 50 pounds and perform physical aspects of the role.
- Track record of academic excellence and increasing work responsibility.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing operations.
- Medical Device manufacturing experience.
- Experience using a pallet jack and electronic pallet lift.
