Job Summary Responsible for maintaining and updating outside operated production data into company production and accounting systems. Responsible for generating, filing and reporting a variety of internal production volume reports. Conduct analysis of outside operated production. Provides support to the Production Operations Department and its engineering group.
Duties and Responsibilities - Ensure timely validation and closure of daily and monthly production volumes for seamless integration into the Merrick system.
- Conduct routine analysis of production versus sales data.
- Provide assistance to other departments by providing production, sales, and injection data.
- Provide insights into production variance trends.
- Maintain physical files in an organized manner for utilization by company personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Competencies - Proficiency in software applications such as Excel, Outlook, Word, and others within the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic understanding and application of Excel functions
- Experience utilizing databases such as Microsoft Access and SQL
- Actively seeks new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channels.
- Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
- Demonstrates self-awareness, using a combination of feedback and reflection to gain productive insight into personal strengths and weaknesses.
Required Qualifications - High school diploma (or GED).
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
- An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited college or university.
- Previous experience with regulatory reporting
- Previous experience with oil & gas production or revenue accounting.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions - Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
