Role Summary:
- The Production Scheduler will lead and optimize the production planning for forty-four finished goods assets at Pretium Salt Lake City, Utah - USA mainly related to manufacturing platforms of ISBM (Injection Stretch Blow Molding Machine) and EBM (Extrusion Blow Molder).
- This professional will implement benchmark strategies to improve production costs and times, always focusing on safety through accurate and top-notch production scheduling.
- It will oversee the end-to-end production planning process, ensuring alignment among demand planning, operations capabilities, and business strategies.
- Highly focused on mitigating future production capacity constraints to achieve the company's financial goals and increase customer on-time and in full.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead the production scheduling at Pretium Salt Lake City, Utah - USA, improving the end-to-end production planning process, optimizing capacity constraints, and mitigating supply chain disruptions or relevant sales demand variations.
- Track daily Production Attainment KPI, discussing how to improve this metric with the operations team, especially with the plant manager and production supervisors.
- Eliminate overproduction (additional finished goods quantity not requested in the production work order) and consolidate as much as possible the number of production work orders released by the production line.
- Comply with the production scheduling freeze process and reduce unnecessary mold and tooling changeovers.
- Seemly balance and transfer sales demand from Salt Lake City manufacturing site to another Pretium site as needed, aligning clearly and in advance the requirements with the sales, operations, inventory management, and quality teams.
- Review and improve the utilization of the production planning module in the IQMS ERP.
- Keep updated on the asset (machine) information available in Salt Lake City (current or new ones), including molds, tooling, or any other additional equipment.
- Adhere to the safety policy and respective operations procedures.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Operations, Engineering, or Business Administration preferred but not required. Other disciplines or education may be considered with 3 years of proven production planning experience.
- Leadership experience managing production planning for several finished goods assets.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Suite (Excel - Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, PowerPoint, and Word) is a plus.
- American Production and Inventory Control Society certification (APICS / currently called ASCM - Association for Supply Chain Management) is desired (CPIM - Certified in Planning and/or Inventory Management, and/or CSCP - Certified in Supply Chain).
- ERP experience, especially in IQMS, and business intelligence system knowledge like Microsoft Power BI, or Tableau.
- Project Management Professional - PMP and/or Six Sigma Black Belt certified is an advantage.
- Fluency in English and a second language as Spanish, is a differentiator.
