OverviewThe Production Scheduler plans and establishes production schedules. This role coordinates actual production for several departments against scheduled production and alters to meet unforeseen conditions to ensure maximum use of available capacity for finished product and the need for materials and labor. Monitors materials inventories, tracks progress of production, and reviews factors which affect schedules.
Responsibilities- Schedule production throughout various departments as assigned.
- Place materials orders in a timely and effective manner to support production plan.
- Maintain accuracy with cycle counts, production reporting, scrap reporting and material receiving systems control.
- Work closely with Production Supervisor's to ensure product manufactured meets customer's requirements.
- Enter daily production accurately.
- Post receipts of inventory and expense items daily.
- Schedule transportation for shipments to meet vendor and customer's expectations.
QualificationsEducation, Expereince, Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required
- APICS CPIM certified or working toward certification
- 3 - 5 years experience with production control or material scheduling
Competencies, Skills, Knowledge
- Working knowledge of materials planning and inventory control techniques
- Strong computer skills in Windows (Excel and Access) and SQL and MRP System
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) a plus
- Good record keeping , documentation and organization skills
- Ability to problem solve and multi-task

Environment:
Able to work inside or outside the plant environment and in all climate conditions. Exposed to lead, fumes, chemicals, operating equipment, and vehicles. PPE may be required when on the manufacturing floor.
Travel:
Travel as required for training, meeting with regulatory agencies, and to other company sanctioned events.
