We have three US manufacturing facilities; Atlas Filtri North America is our US headquarters, located in Wallingford, CT, where we store our components and perform assembly, Watertown Plastics in Watertown, CT is where we do plastic injection molding and Hydro-Flow Filtration Systems in Temecula, CA is where we manufacture our carbon blocks.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Production Manager to be a key member of the Operations team in our Wallingford, CT location and have a direct impact on the company's performance. As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for all assembly and inventory management processes as well as management of hourly employees. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes extreme ownership and thrives in a dynamic and customer-focused environment. This position reports to the Director of Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day assembly and inventory management operations
Manage a team of 10 employees, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to production quality standards
Perform daily shopfloor management meetings and promote a culture of safety, accountability, and 5S workplace organization
Schedule daily and weekly production activities to achieve 100% on-time delivery
Utilize ERP system and visual management to oversee inventory levels
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse
Lead inventory management efforts to improve inventory accuracy, including physical counts, and addressing discrepancies.
Verify part locations are correct physically and virtually, and work to improve part storage methods to optimize efficiency and reduce errors in retrieval.
Ensures safe operation and maintenance of production equipment
Drive a continuous improvement culture to improve assembly process, streamline workflows, and suggest improvements for increased efficiency, quality, and overall performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
Familiarity with ERP systems
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Spanish speaker is a plus.
