Our Client is seeking a Production Manager for a Direct Hire/FTE position in San Leandro, CA. This is an onsite positions. Local candidates only.
Summary:
Oversee and optimize our manufacturing operations. This role is critical in ensuring that customer products are delivered on time, every time, while maintaining efficiency, quality, and process control. The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple teams and work shifts in a high-speed manufacturing environment, along with a strong understanding of inventory accuracy, supply chain logistics, and quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
This full-time, on-site role reports to the Vice President of Manufacturing and will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and other operational teams to drive efficiency and continuous improvement in our two manufacturing facilities.
Production & Process Management:
- Lead manufacturing operations across multiple shifts, ensuring seamless coordination between teams.
- Oversee production planning and scheduling, ensuring work orders are processed efficiently to meet on-time delivery targets.
- Monitorand improve manufacturing cycle time, inventory turns, and production schedule adherence and line yields. Collaborate with Supply Chain to develop supplier strategies that ensure material availability and quality.
- Work closely with the Quality team to enforce process controls and drive continuous improvement through SPC, MRB meetings, and corrective actions (8D/CARs).Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in production by adjusting material plans and optimizing workflows.
Team Leadership & Performance:
- Know how to set up BIG ventures.

- Establish clear expectations, boundaries, and accountability for production teams while fostering a culture of respect and empowerment.
- Provide guidance and performance support for supervisors and shop floor teams.
- Manage team attendance, overtime, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain a high-energy, problem-solving approach to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment.
Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination:
- Ensure inventory accuracy and work with Supply Chain to maintain material flow through FIFO and demand forecasting.
- Work closely with CX, Marketing, and Product Engineering to forecast production volume by SKU, ensuring alignment with business growth.
- Implement best practices in material requirements planning (MRP), lean manufacturing, and Kanban to reduce delays and optimize resources.
Operational Improvement & Compliance:
- Identify and eliminate inefficiencies by streamlining workflows and removing non-value-added steps.
- Ensure compliance with Quality System, Configuration Control, and Process Control policies.
- Establish and enforce best practices for administrative processes, including inventory forecasting and scheduling.
Key Abilities:
- Manufacturing Leadership - Experience managing large teams or multiple shifts in a high-speed production environment.
- Process Optimization - Proven ability to identify and resolve logistical issues, improving workflow efficiency.
- Inventory & Supply Chain Expertise - Strong understanding of MRP, scheduling, and material flow-strategies.
- Communication & Problem-Solving - Ability to communicate clearly with executives, teams, and suppliers to troubleshoot and drive solutions.
- Technology & Data Analysis - Experience with MRP systems, Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and production software.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or inventory management.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferred).
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work extended hours when required.
Pay for this position is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. As a contractor you may also be eligible for health benefits such as health, dental, and vision as well as access to a 401K plan.
